Mary (née Ahrens) Abbott, age 89 of Mason and Montgomery, Ohio, passed away on July 16, 2022. Born in Risingsun, Wood County, Ohio to the late Ralph & Geneva (Shultz) Ahrens. Beloved wife of Charles T. Abbott, Jr.; mother of Jane (David) Doster and Sally (Kenny) Race; sister of Robert (Geraldine) Ahrens and the late Paula Ahrens Jordan; grandmother of Andrew, Evie, Morgan, Casey, and Alex.
After graduating from St. Bernard Elmwood Place High School in 1951, Mary completed an Associate's degree from the University of Cincinnati. She worked as administrative assistant for Procter & Gamble, then for many years at Montgomery Nursery School.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 21, 2022, from 10:00 to 11:00am with service following at The Christian Village at Mason Stone Worship Center. Private burial following at Hopewell Cemetery in Montgomery.
