Ronald P. Beatty Sr., of Manitowoc, passed away on July 21, 2022 after a battle with cancer. Ron was 80 years old, and his family is deeply saddened by his death.

Ron was born on October 8, 1941 and lived in Manitowoc. Ronald worked as a carpenter in the Manitowoc area, a welder for the Manitowoc Company, and later retired from a career with Weyerhaeuser. Ron also served in the Two Rivers National Guard and was a Seabee in the Navy Reserve. He was a member of Northeastern Wisconsin Great Lakes Sports Fishermen and spent much of his free time fishing or enjoying time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ronald also enjoyed volunteering yearly with Lights at Lincoln Park during the holiday season.

Everyone who knew Ron, knew how joyful he was. He will be remembered for his kindness, his willingness to lend a helping hand whenever needed, his passion for fishing, and especially his love of family.

Ronald is survived by his two sons, Ronnie (Tama) Beatty and Jerrod (Anna) Beatty; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; his siblings Randy Beatty, Mike Beatty, and Patricia Hedman; along with many friends. We will miss him more than words can say.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parish-Marshall site, 2109 Marshall St., with Rev. Jason Blahnik officiating.
