William F. Winters 77 Route 9 Jonasboro died Saturday afternoon in Colonial Hills Nursing Home after an extended illness.
A native of Washington County, Va., he had been a resident of Kingsport before moving to Washington County (Oak Grove Community) 17 years ago. He was an employee of Holston Defense Corp., having retired in 1965.
Survivors include five daughters Mrs Larry (Dixie) Powell, Jonesboro, Mrs Louise Phillips, Kingsport, Mrs Bernice Lawson, Winchester, Ind., Mrs Helen Cooper, Newport and Mrs Christine Ritchie, Elizabethton; one son Harry Lee Winters, Springfield Va., one sister Mrs Lilliebelle Brooks, Monroe, Mich; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Carter's Kingsport is in charge.
