After a lot of research and DNA testing, I believe that Aley Owens is the mother of Walter Brown Winters. W. B. Winters signed Aley Owen's death certificate. On marriage license/certificate to Thelma M. Ranahan, Walter lists Aley (Michaels??) as mother and Martin Winters as father. On several delayed birth certificates for Aley's children - Cora Owens Young (from Aley's possible 1st marriage - she shows divorced in 1900 census), presented a family bible with birth dates and names with Aley Owens and Martin Winters as parents and she listed herself as "sister". In Cora Owens Young obituary, "William F Winters" and "Walter Winters" are listed as brothers and "Mrs Henley Brooks (Lillie Belle Winters)" as sister. In addition, I descend from Walter Brown Winters and at the time of this memorial update, I have 30 DNA cousins from the parents of Aley Owens - David Owens & Susanna Jones. Paula
