Felix Boyd passed away at the age of 65 at Bossier General Hospital following a long illness. He was a son of the late Andrew Jackson and Lela Gage Boyd.


Felix was a native of Cornerville, Arkansas, and lived in Bossier City the last 32 years of his life. He was a welder, mechanic, and member of the Baptist Church.


Survivors include his wife, Lela Gage Boyd; son, Wayne Boyd of Longview, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. S. M. Hammock of Bossier City and Mrs. Don Webb of Shreveport, Louisiana; three sisters, Mrs. Calvin Gray of Rison, Arkansas, Mrs. Zelma Gray of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Mrs. Ray Crutchfield of Cornerville; and eight grandchildren.


Funeral services were held Sunday, January 27, 1974, in the Bossier City Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Reverend Joe Waggoner and Reverend Webster Clapp, both of Bossier Baptist Church, were officiants. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery.
