Frank Lester Adams Jr., (Col USAF Ret.), 86, of Tampa passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2001 at Mariner Health Care Center. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Esther; a son, Frank Lester Adams, III; a daughter, Barbara L. Adams; a sister, Mary Lou Lee; and a granddaughter, Jennifer L. Adams. Col. Adams is a native of Zebulon, GA where graveside services with military honors will be held. He was a 31 year Air Force Veteran, receiving the Purple Heart and the Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service. He was executive officer of the 22nd Bomb Group, Commander Eastern Communication Region, a mason and the past president of the Genealogy Society of Tampa. Mark III Funeral Home
