She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister and is survived by her children Nick (Connie), Nanci (Rich Leonard), (Suzanne), grandchildren Adam, Kelly, Terry, Grant, and Garrett, great-grandson Max, sister Roz Norin, and brother Ed (Mary) Weinstein.
Born in Chicago to Sarah and Harry Weinstein, she moved to California in 1964 and has lived in Beverly Hills since 1967. She was an active member of the Beverly Hills Writers and Actors' Workshops.
Gert and Marv were avid volunteers for the City of Hope and were honored for their fundraising efforts. Gert will be missed by her family, many dear friends and neighbors and by her devoted caregiver, Melanie.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Sinai Memorial Park.
