Nermal was a funny cat. He was my husbands baby (swore never liked cats!). He made my husband like him. He was named after Garfields nemesis. He got along with every animal that came into the house, two legged or four legged!
During the holidays I always made a cinnamon, nutmeg and water combination that I would simmer on the stove and then put on our dining room table. It gave the house a very festive smell. Nermel took a liking to it also and drank some of it. I did not realize that it is deadly to animals. He passed away on the way to the animal hospital. I feel like it was my fault that he passed away and I have never made that combination again. I will always feel guilty for causing his death.
Even though he only was on this earth a couple of years he left a big impact on our family.
