Rose "Rosa Lee" Glaude, 86, was born October 1, 1929 in Lake Arthur, Louisiana to the late William Howard and Elvina Daniel Duncan. A native of Lake Arthur, she resided in Lake Charles most of her life where she was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She was a former member of the Missions Department. She departed this life Saturday, September 17, 2016 in her residence.
She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Elvina Glaude, Correne Glaude, and Patricia Darbonne; three sons, Robert Glaude, Jr., Gregory Allen (Patricia) Glaude, Sr., and Warren (Albertine) Glaude; two sisters, Esther (Felix) Nixon and Gloris Duncan Moore; four brothers, Toby (Catherine) Duncan, Herbert Duncan, Lionel (Doris) Duncan, and Richard Wayne Duncan; 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Glaude's funeral was held at 3 pm Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Mr. Olive Baptist Church, Pastor Braylon Harris. The Rev. Alfred King officiated. Burial was at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of James Funeral Home of Lake Charles, LA.
