Jack was self-employed having owned Summers Confection Store in Smithton. He was a World War II Army veteran and a survivor of Pearl Harbor.
In addition to his parents Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Cassie (Keim) Summers; two brothers, Charles and Kenneth Summers; and four sisters, twin sisters, Maisie Waltz and Daisie Summers, Jean Lee and Wanda Goodisk.
Jack was survived by a sister, June McManus and husband, James, of Sutersville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends were received on Monday at the L.L. Barthels Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services was held on Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor William E. Lawson. Interment was in the Hoffman Cemetery in South Huntingdon Township.
