Founder of Marion OH. Married his cousin Lydia Smith in 1802. Bought land and built the first log home at Marion in 1822. Eber and Lydia were originally buried in the old Pioneer Cemetery in Marion, but were later moved to the "new" cemetery. The Bakers had sons, George Washington Baker, Lincoln Baker & Charles Baker. Daughters Elizabeth, Mehitable and Lydia.
