Ellis Thompson, infant son of G.R. & N. J. Thompson, June 1882 - July (1882?). This marker is not at a gravesite, but at Ripley Public Library where it was brought when discovered at the Tippah County Jail. It had been there for several years and no one knew where it came from. It is believed that Ellis was the son of George and Nancy J. Thompson listed in the 1880 Tippah County Census with children listed as Walter, William E., and James T.
