James Kutil died at the US Marine Hospital in Seattle Friday as a result of an injury received April 8.
He was born at Branch, Wisconsin April 13, 1894 and at the time of his passing he was 44 years old. He first enlisted in the armed forces of the US in 1913 and served his first enlistment with 63rd company of coast artillery, Washington National Guard, stationed at Fort Worden. He was furloughed to the organized reserve in 1916, and at the outbreak of the World War was recalled to active duty in July, 1917.
For a while he resided at Seattle, coming to Manson in 1923, eventually developing an orchard of his own. In 1926 he was married to Anna Brensing to which union two children were born Jeanette, 11, and Elizabeth, 9.
Besides his widow and children he leaves to mourn his passing five brothers, and three sisters; John, Manson; Joseph and Michael of Branch, Wisconsin; George and Frank of Mantoroc, Wisconsin; Mrs. Annie Herdina, Mrs. F. Busker of Branch and Mrs. Anton Nicoli of Mantoroc.
