Born in Branch, Wis., July 23, 1896, he served overseas with the US Army during World War I. He moved to Seattle in 1920, and in 1922, settled in Manson. He married Jennie Viebrock in Wenatchee March 29, 1930.
They operated an orchard in Manson for years until his retirement from the ranch. He platted and developed Pine Crest Vista on his ranch and was active in that work until his death.
Mr. Kutil was a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Veterans of World War I.
Survivors include his wife, at home; two daughters, Raynell Lewis, Ephrata and Carolyn Leirness, Cupertino, Calif.; one brother, Mike Kutil, Wisconsin; a sister, May Busker, Chicago; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
