Shullsburg- Funeral services for Albert Metcalf, 62, were held Wednesday afternoon at the home of George Northouse with the Rev. S.J. Lambright, pastor of the M.E. church officiating. Mr. Metcalf was found dead in bed Saturday morning at the home of a sister in Kingsley, Ia.
He was born in Benton the son of the late John and Sarah Metcalf, and was married to Anna Northouse here in 1913. Shortly after the death of his wife in 1914 he went to Iowa to live.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Edward Paul, Winslow, Ill., and two sisters, Mrs. John Bainbridge, Kingsley, Ia., and Mrs. Mary Boscoe, Quimby, Ia.
Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery here. Pall bearers were Medford Hodgson, John Lee, Charles Taylor, George Rowe, Joseph Coates, and Joseph Metcalf.
