James Gabbard, 65, Odd Fellows Home, Greensburg, died at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 4, 1991, in the Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis.

Gabbard was born April 2, 1926 in Owsley County, Kentucky, the son of William T. and Mary Riley Gabbard.

He was a foreman in shipping and receiving at Kenner Productions, Cincinnati. He was a life member of the veterans of Foreign Wars, having served in the U.S. Army in World War II and the Korean Conflict.

Gabbard is survived by: one brother, Dale Gabbard, Frost Proof, Fla. and three sisters, Ellen Bixler, Searcy, Ark., Gracie Stribling, Union, Ky., and Betty Ellison, Cincinnati; one son, James Parsons, address unknown; and one daughter, Imogene Parsons of Greensburg. He was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.

Services will be Monday at 1 p.m., at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Brattain officiating.

Burial will be in Soldier's Circle of the South Park Cemetery. The VFW will conduct military graveside services.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
