With the heaviest hearts and great sadness that the family of Doris B. Olivier announces her passing on Saturday, September 24, 2022 in the comfort of her home with loving family by her side at the age of 80. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 12 noon on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Eunice.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Pastor Greg Gaspard, officiating.
Doris was born on November 16, 1941 in Eunice to Felix and Violet (Godeaux) Boone.
She was caregiver and loved taking care of the elderly, working in her yard and traveling. She enjoyed being a grandmother and spoiling her grandbabies. Taunt NuNu known to many will be missed dearly by all who knew her and loved her. She will remain the brightest light in their lives as she lives now in their hearts.
She was a the loving and devoted mother to Scott Olivier and wife, Anna; Morgan Olivier and wife, Jackie; Lisa Doucet and Brian Olivier all of Eunice; brother, Stafford Boone and wife, Roberta of Church Point; sisters, Elta Boone of Eunice, Bertha Matte of Richard and Berline Boone of Basile; the five joys of her life, her grandchildren, Austin Doucet and wife, Kaitlyn, Brooke Legget and husband, Tyler, Skylar Broussard and husband, Andrew, Jamie Rougeau and husband, Wyatt and Loni Fontenot and husband Joey; ten great grandchildren, Joseph, Lane and Alexis Fontenot, Montana Labbe, Tyler Dodd, Andrew and Landon Rougeau, Harley and Aubrey Legget and Micah Broussard; as well as extended family and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbert Olivier; grandson, Mason Doucet; siblings, Steve, Thomas and Leroy Boone, Elaine Fortson and Florence Gaspard.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, September 27th from 11:00 am until Wednesday September 28th 11:30 am.
