Clyde was born on August 8, 1930 to Melvin and Beulah (Spencer) Eads in the Splitlog community of McDonald County, MO, where he grew up. He graduated from Goodman High School.
In 1953, Clyde and his brother were both drafted into the U.S. Army and proudly served their country for 2 years during the Korean War. There he learned mechanics, working on jeeps and tanks.
On November 26, 1955, Clyde married Ruth Nicoletti in the Banner church in rural Anderson.
After his military service, Clyde continued to utilize the trade he had learned and went to work for Rocketdyne building rocket engines during the time of the space race. Later he worked for Teledyne Inc. as a jet engine mechanic. He retired in 1990. Throughout his life he enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting. He particularly enjoyed quail hunting and raising and training bird dogs, especially Brittany Spaniels.
In 2011, the couple moved to Grand Lake. He attended the Cayuga Mission Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Minerva Chester and Isla Landon.
