Born June 29, 1915, at Wilson to Walter Robert Glenn and Mary Jane Dowdy Glenn, she died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at her home.
Mrs. Nutt was raised in the Wilson area before moving to Ardmore where she married Don L. Nutt on Oct. 31, 1936. She retired from the Ardmore Public Library in 1978 after many years of service. She was a founding and charter member of the K Street Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher and faithful servant of Christ. She currently was a member of Memorial Christian Church.
She was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed reading and quilting and always prepared everyone's favorite meal when they visited. Her faith in God is the legacy she leaves for her family and to all who have shared in her wonderful, blessed life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Rebecca, her husband of 60 years, Don L. Nutt in 1996, and a brother, Homer Glenn.
Survivors include a son, Col. Donald G. Nutt (USAF ret.) and his wife, Sandi, San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Judy Butts and her husband, Ken, Ardmore; a brother, Jack D. Glenn, Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Rick Nutt, Cypress, Texas, Becky Bell Silvio, Allen, Texas, MSgt. Steve Nutt (USAF ret.), Syracuse, Utah, and Michael Word, Ardmore; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Bearers will be Ken Butts, Glen Adair, Steve Silvio, Rick Nutt, Steve Nutt and Ryan Hunnicutt.
Family visitation will be from 6 until 8 this evening at the funeral home.
