Freeman Arnold Killed Himself Last Sunday Morning

Freeman Arnold, 27, shot and killed himself instantly last Sunday morning at the home of his parents, Mr and Mrs W E Arnold, about fifteen miles north of Okeechobee. He had just finished eating bearkfast and walked out in the yard and returned to his room where he lay down in bed and took a small shotgun, placed it at the side of his temple and fired the entire load into his head. He had been in very bad health for many years having recently returned to his home here after spending many weeks in the hospital at West Palm Beach and Arcadia and expected to have to return there soon and that is the only reason that could be given for his action. He was a sufferer from infantile paralysis. Funeral services were conducted for him at the cemetery in Bassinger Monday afternoon and a burial followed at that place. Besides his father and mother he is survived by several brothers and many other relatives throughout the county. (Re: Diane Bryan)
