Per John's death notice, he was survived by Isabella and three children, presumably including their son John.
The younger John may be the John Turnbull b 1829 Scotland, carpenter, who was enumerated as living in San Francisco CA in 1870 with his wife Louisa Marian F and their daughters Anna b 1858 NB and Mabel b 1864 CA. When Louisa died 19 Oct 1885 San Francisco, the event was reported in the Saint John newspapers with John being described as "formerly [of] Saint John" (Saint John Daily Sun, Fri 13 Nov 1885). John's remarriage to Mrs A J Garrick on 18 Sep 1887 in San Francisco was also reported in Saint John, again with John being described as "formerly of Saint John city" (Saint John Globe, Thu 06 Oct 1887).
