Josephine was strong in her faith a loving and giving wife and mother. A loving Sister, grandmother, and Aunt. Josephine was also a great grandmother to several little ones, a special friend and neighbor. Josephine was loving and giving to all who had the privilege to have her in their life.
Josephine attended Guiding Light Church for many years. She worked for Stilwell Foods for many years. After retiring, she and husband Jim operated a drive-in just south of Stilwell on Highway 59.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, Iva Ollis and Henry Chuculate. Her husband Monroe Asbill (the father to her two sons) and her son, Dale Asbill, Jim Butler (her husband of thirty-two years), her sister, Marie Hardbarger, two brothers, Dennis Owl, and GW Owl, one stepson, Jimmie Harold Butler and CW Gregory, Step-Grandson Marc Hester, and Christopher Cox.
Those of us left behind with our special memories of Josephine are her son, Leonard Asbill, grandsons; Jason Asbill of Stilwell, Nathan Asbill and wife Morgan of Poteau, granddaughters; Amanda Holland and husband, Jeremiah, Stephanie Butler, Linda Gregory, Tammie Osborne and husband Terry, Joan Lousch and husband Johnnie, Nan Butler, and Ethan Butler.
Nieces: Gail Williams and Linda Caviness of Stilwell.
Great-Grandchildren, Paisley Asbill, Keiten Asbill and Tatelyn Asbill.
Stepchildren: Ruby Butler Hester of Tulsa, Sharon Littlejohn of Easton, Mass. Ren Butler and wife Georgia of Stilwell, Robert Butler, and wife Daisy of Wellston Oklahoma and Wadene Cox.
