Brother Alfred Martin was born September 4, 1932 in Adams County, Mississippi and was reared by the late Alex and Polly "Lucille" Martin.
His parents and one sister, Susie Martin, preceded him in death.
Brother Martin was a hard worker and provider for his family.
On April 11, 1952, he was united in holy matrimony to Clara Thompson.
On July 7, 1976, he was baptized at the China Grove Baptist Church in Natchez, MS under the leadership of the late Reverend W. S. Scott and united with the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church of Sibley, MS.
Brother Martin was a loyal and faithful member of the church until his death. He served in the capacity of usher until appointed to the Deacon Board.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife - Clara T. Martin, Natchez, MS; two daughters - Regina "Lovie" Martin of Natchez, MS and Phoebe Clara (Aaron) Hutcherson of Lithonia, GA; one son - Walter (Wand Thompson of Hollandale, MS; two sisters, Ellen Ellis and Emma Madison .
