At his residence, Carriglass Manor, county Longford, in the 90th year of his age, eldest son of the late Right Hon. Thomas Lefroy by his marriage with Mary, only daughter of Mr Jeffrey Paul of Silverspring, county Wexford. Educated at Trinity College, Dublin, sat as one of the members for county Longford from 1830 to 1837 and again from 1841 to 1847, from 1858 to 1870 one of the representatives of the University of Dublin, served as magistrate and deputy lieutenant of county Longford, and high sheriff in 1849. Chief mourners were Col. David Carrick Buchanan, C.B., son-in-law; County Court Judge Lefroy, brother; Langlois Lefroy, Thomas Charles T. Lefroy, Col. Wentworth King-Harman, Maj. Charles Lefroy, Edward Heathcote Lefroy, and Maj.
