GRAUER--Rabbi Murray.

The Yeshiva University family and its affiliated Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS) are profoundly saddened by the passing of our alumnus, Rabbi Murray Grauer, a'h, who along with his family are YU Guardians. He served in pulpits for half a century; five years in Cong. Beth El of Miami, FL and from 1951-1995 at the Hebrew Institute of White Plains, where he became Rabbi Emeritus. He was a president of the Westchester Board of Rabbis. Rabbi Grauer encouraged lay leaders of his congregation to be supportive of Jewish education and inspired them to be key players in educational initiatives. His son-in-law, Rabbi Stanley Raskas, is President of the Yeshiva College Board of Overseers and established a scholarship in Rabbi Grauer's honor. Heartfelt condolences are extended to his wife Francine Grauer, his son Josh (and Jane) Grauer, his son-in-law Rabbi Stanley Raskas, David (and Amy) Grauer, and Debbie (and Rich) Finkelstein. May they, as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. Yeshiva University Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, President Moshael J. Straus, Chairman of the Board of Trustees
