Deceased: MAE MALBON; Date: June 30, 2001
VIRGINIA BEACH - Mae Malbon, 89, went to be with the Lord June 29, 2001. She was born in Princess Anne County, and had retired from the City of Virginia Beach as a public information officer and a longtime member of the Ruth Dawley Sunday School Class at Charity United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Malbon is survived by her son, Roger E. Malbon and wife, Nell; daughter, Becky M. Cullipher and husband, Louis; grandchildren, Lori Robinson and husband, Robbie, Pam Walsh and husband, Russell, Kim Cullipher and Mike Cullipher and wife, Jane; great-grandchildren, Lauren Robinson, Hunter and Reid Walsh, Dillion and Jeb Cullipher; and a sister, Lucille Capps, all of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Charity United Methodist Church, 4080 Charity Neck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23456. The Rev. Robert Cooper will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Willowood Cemetery. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Charity United Methodist Church building fund. "

Malbon, age 27, born in Princess Anne County, Virginia and residing in Princess Anne [Princess Anne County], Virginia, occupation Farmer, son of Ben Malbon and his wife, Mary Dozier - Ida May Murphy, age 22, born in Princess Anne County, Virginia and residing in Princess Anne [Princess Anne County], Virginia, daughter of Lewis Murphy and his wife, Emily Carroll"
