She married James Gilles Dartt in 1811. James Gilles Dartt was a Major in the War of 1812. He died in 1823.

Her married her second husband, Israel Merrick, in either 1823 or 1824.
Merrick's first wife, Mary Lockwood Merrick, had died in 1819.

Julia Cornelia, b.1827, m. Henry P. Dockstader

Legend has it that Mary was the first white woman to come over the township road from Mansfield on the Tyoga River to Dartt Settlement. No road existed so one was cut and logged almost the entire length to give the wagon of household goods a passage. It's unclear whether she made this journey while married to Dartt or Merrick.
Mary died Aug 28, 1870.
