AMOS BAKER son of
Daniel Fletcher Baker & Eliza
his wife. He was born at Con-
cord Nov. 20, 1798 and died
at Boston April 12, 1886. He
was for 40 yrs a deacon at
the West Church in Boston
and for 42 yrs a successful
and beloved instructor of the
young.
The task was thine to mould and fashion
Life's plastic newness into grace;
To make the boyish heart heroic,
And light with thought the maiden's face.
