Served three yrs in the Revolutionary War.

Mark Rideout died in 1850, his wife Margaret died on Oct 30th 1851. An 1850 U.S. Census shows them living together in Pittsfield, just before he died. The ONLY logical explanation is that he was buried with his wife at Carr Cemetary in Pittsfield. Most of the time, Cemeteries do not have records of people buried in Unmarked graves. I feel, he is buried next to his wife, in an Unmarked grave. Mark's Dad & Mom, Nicholas Rideout Sr & Mary Hunt Ingersoll, are supposedly in Unmarked graves at Eastern Cemetary, Portland. Mark & Margaret's son Alexander, and his wife Annis, are buried in Litchfield Plains Cemetary at Litchfield. Mark was 30 years older than Margaret. Mark was born on Aug 5th 1757, and lived till age 92 or 93. Margaret was born in 1787, and died at age 64 yrs & 7 mos.

Mark & Margaret were married in 1802.

3. Jane Rideout - b. 5/8/1807 Bowdoin, Me. d. 7/25/1881 Bowdoinham, Me.
She married James L. Temple (b.1803). burial: Bowdoinham Village Cem., Bowdoinham, Me.
4. James M. Rideout - b. 5/23/1809 Bowdoin, Me. d. 1/12/1880 Benton, Me.
He married 1) Rachel Kincaide (1814-1870) on 11/2/1831. burial: Brown Cemetery Benton, Me.
James & Rachel had at least 13 children together: Austin; Horace; Jane; Margaret; Royal; James M.; Charles; Albert; John; Julie; George W.; Ida; & Eva Esther. After Rachel died, James remarried.
His second marriage was to Maria Amelia Bickford (1822-1898). Maria was previously married to William B. Wallace, and had at least 6 children by Mr. Wallace: Lorenzo (or "Herbert"); Henrietta; Emma; Wilhelmina; Frank & Eugene.
Notes: *Family Search shows James remarried a third time to a Margaret, and Maria remarried to John M. Cook. Not sure, IF James & Maria divorced, or she married Mr. Cook after James died, and the "Margaret" is a mistake. No marriage record shown on James' page on familysearch.
*James' gravestone says he was age 75, which would make him born in 1804, but his Town Birth Record shows his birth as 5/23/1809.
*Also, James' gravestone has his name as James M. Rideout, like his son, but his Town Birth Record shows his name as James P. Rideout.
5. Mary Rideout - b. 5/4/1811 Bowdoin, Me. d. 4/6/1885 Le Mars, Iowa.
She married: 1) Gilbert Stockbridge Smith (1812-1843) in 1836.
Gilbert & Mary had at least two children together: James Rideout Smith & Gilbert Stockbridge Smith.
After Gilbert died, Mary remarried. Her second marriage was to Charles B. Dingley (1821-1903) in 1846.
Charles & Mary had at least two children together: Lorana & Levi.
Mary is buried in East Lawn Cemetery Sheldon, Iowa.
6. Benjamin R. Rideout - b. 12/24/1812 Bowdoin, Me.
7. Abigail Rideout - b. 4/19/1816 Bowdoin, Me. d. 8/11/1873
She married George Washington Leavitt (1814-1874) on 2/11/1836.
