Connie Yates Brown, 75, Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022. Connie was born April 29, 1947, in Carthage, Missouri, the daughter of the Late Charles Lee Yates and Eunice Jane (Farmer)Yates. Connie graduated in 1965 from Carthage High School. She went on to attend Pittsburg State University, where she was a 1966 pledge of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. Connie earned her bachelor's degree in Home Economics in 1969. She went to work for White Shield Oil and Gas/Petro-Lewis in Tulsa, 1969-1974. She then went on to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Executive Sales from 1975-1979. In 1977, Connie founded, owned and managed Abbyco, Incorporated, a rental equipment business.

Connie was a proud member of various organizations: Oklahoma Republican Party, National Association of Women Business Owners, Tulsa Executive Exchange, Pittsburg State University Alumni Association (Tulsa Chapter), Tulsa Alumnae Panhellenic (Board of Directors, Vice President). She was proud to be an Alpha Gamma Delta and held many positions in service to her sorority, National Director of Alumnae Development 1984-1986, Coordinator of Alumnae Philanthropy 1990-1991. Rush Consultant 1991-1996, Chairman, International Membership Committee 1996-1997, International Vice President Membership since 1970.
The Epsilon Kappa Endowment Fund in Honor of Connie Yates Brown was established to benefit Sisters of Epsilon Kappa and was established by the Epsilon Kappa Alumnae Chapter in honor of Connie Yates Brown, Epsilon Kappa '66, for her service to Alpha Gamma Delta as past International President.

Survivors include two brothers, Bill Yates (Sue), Nixa, Missouri, Gary Yates (Cindy), Kimberling City, Missouri; three brothers in-law, Bob McDaniel, Carthage, Missouri, Larry Biles, Wichita, Kansas, and Mike Vaughn, Webb City, Missouri. Several Nieces and Nephews as well.

Connie was preceded in death by three sisters, Charlene McDaniel, Sarah Biles and Sherry Vaughn. One nephew, Kevin Yates.

Memorial graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 2pm. Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30pm at Knell Mortuary before the graveside service. The family suggests memorial contributions to The Epsilon Kappa Endowment Fund in Honor of Connie Yates Brown, in care of the mortuary.
