Services for Thelma "Granny" Setliff Tolbert will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 20, 2008, at Pine Coupee Pentecostal Church in Flatwoods with Reverends Noah Luman and Roland George officiating. Burial will be in Flatwoods Cemetery.
Mrs. Tolbert, 77, of Boyce, died Friday, January 18, 2008, at her residence.
She was a member of Pine Coupee Pentecostal Church in Flatwoods, LA. and worked as a sitter and housekeeper.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeanie Dubois; parents, Alvin Franklin and Myrtie Edwards George; two brothers, and one sister.
Those left to cherish her memory include her companion of 17 years, Jim Dean of Boyce; son, Larry Setliff & wife Marie of Centerpoint; daughters, Diane Trahan of Baton Rouge, Pamela Haynes & husband Lee of Lena, LaDonna Kelley of Cotile Lake, Renee Maxey and Sharlene George both of Boyce; brother, Richard Bennett of Flatwoods; sister, Genese Nikkie Smith of Flatwoods; grandchildren, Kim Thiels of Cotile, Sonya Bradford of Cotile and fifteen other grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lee Haynes, Carl Maxey, Kevin Maxey, Richard Bennett, Jr.
Ronnie Bennett, Michael Smith, Jamie Arnold, Jason Lavergne, and Mark Smith.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 19, 2008, at Pine Coupee Pentecostal Church, Flatwoods, from 5:00 p.m. until service time Sunday.
