William was the husband of Caroline C. Rohrbaugh; the son of Jacob and Sarah (Gantz) Bowman, and the father of Annie and Clayton.
William Bowman was born August 23, 1850, and died at the home of his son, Harry Bowman, Seven Valleys, Pa., January 21, 1942, aged 91 years, 4 months and 28 days.
Mr. Bowman had been our oldest member at Shaffer's Church. He had spent all his life in the Hanover Junction Community and was respected by all who knew him. He had been a member of Zion (Shaffer's) Reformed Church for many years.
The funeral services were held on Saturday morning, January 24, 1942 from the Geiple Funeral Parlor in Glen Rock, Pa. The pastor spoke on the text Job 5:26. Burial was made in the new cemetery at Shaffer's Church.
