Bettymaye Frye, 85, of 2285 Legion Road, Carrier Mills, died 4:39 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Torrence Davis officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation is 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
She was born on Dec. 15, 1922, in Peoria to the late Andrew Jackson and Myrtle G. (Ferguson) Hinton. She married Harold Frye in 1944, and he preceded her in death in August 1978.
She was a retired nurse and a member of Carrier Mills Baber Chapel A.M.E. Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Frye of Carrier Mills and Cynthia Stone of Peoria; a sister, Vera Henson of Nashville, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jewell Hinton and Robert Hinton; and a sister, Jenette Hinton.
