Originally a coal miner from Alynwick, England. He was very generous in helping other family financially to come to America. He himself was a street car conductor in Providence, Rhode Island. Mr. Kelly became an American citizen in 1906, the same year he married Jessie Reid. He was my father's favorite uncle and he looked out for my father in the early dark days of the depression.
