Edith (Bauman) Stoner, 89, Fowler, died 2 a.m. Wednesday in Home Hospital, Lafayette. She had been a patient there one month.

Mrs. Stoner was born in Vermilion County, IL and moved to Fowler in 1918.

She was married in 1906 to John H. Stoner who died in 1951.

She was an 1899 graduate of the Oxford Academy, a member of the Fowler United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Fowler WSCS and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are one son, Earl Stoner of Fowler; and two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Thornbrough of Fowler and Mrs. Margaret Cain of Rensselaer; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
