She was born the daughter of Charles H. and Celina Vanquelef DeCroix on Nov. 5, 1930, in Springfield. She married William C. Fehring in 1957; he preceded her in death on April 17, 1995.
Mrs. Fehring was first employed at W.T. Grant and later at Franklin Life Insurance Co. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Chummy Chainers Square Dance Club and the Horizons.
She is survived by a son, Lewis C. Fehring; a daughter, Sandra Sue Houston; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; five sisters, Pauline Smith, Elizabeth Shoup, Angeline Sanders, Louise Nevill and Harriett Peters; and five brothers, Mike Foley, Henry, Charles, Paul and Peter DeCroix.
Services at Bisch and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Olson officiating. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
