Paul E. DeCroix, 70, of Rochester died Thursday at St. John's Hospital.

He was born on Nov. 13, 1916, in Rochester, the son of Charlie and Josephine Martel DeCroix. He married Helen Krueger.

Mr. DeCroix retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 37 years of employment as a postal clerk. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Edinburg, and was a veteran of World War II, having served with the Marine Corps.

He was preceded in death by one son Bill. Surviving are his wife, Helen; three daughters, Paula Pennel of London, England; Mary Hooker of Pennsylvania and Zella Goin of Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother, Pete DeCroix of Bronx, N.Y.; one half-brother, Henry of Bradfordton; one half-sister, Sue Fehring of Springfield; 13 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services at Wilson Park Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Fred Sieving officiating. Burial in Rochester Cemetery, Rochester.
