Amelia was a beautiful, sincere, loving woman. She did not like her name and when she heard that I was to be her namesake she told my parents no. My parents gave me the name Amy to always have a second option but I always loved dearly how I was a namesake. Amelia loved her children and above all her husband. She was a housewife and they owned their home, which still stands today, for 63 years. Amelia was a very special person to me and even in her late years before her death she could still tell when I came in the room because Barbara, her daughter, would take our hands and put them together and say "Mother, Amelia is here...your namesake." Its an honor and a privalege to be loved by such a woman and I look forward to our eternal life together in the Heavens.

She was the daughter of John Schmitt and Alice Louise Kennedy Schmitt.
