Martha lived at 61 Harcombe Road.
Died as a result of Enemy Action at 157/161 Stoke Newington Road. She was the wife of Edward Charles and mother of Ada Frances Martin, both of whom were killed in the same incident. The Martin family had been visiting friends.
There were three air raid shelters there, which took a direct hit on the night of 13th/14th October 1941. Around 170 people were killed that night.
