(Name on birth record Thad, name on draft registration and how he signed his name was Thadeus Emery Renshaw.

His father died when he was young and he was age 15 in the 1900 census with his mother in Machiasport and working in the sardine factory as a flaker.

After the death of his mother in 1909 Thad was living with his brother Harry and family in the Port and was still working in the sardine factory.

Married Charlotte Hoar daughter of James M. and Mary L. (Glidden) Hoar of East Machias on July 20, 1918 in East Machias .

In the 1920 Federal Census, Thadeus Renshaw was age 34 and working as a laborer in the packing plant and wife Charlotte was enumerated as born in Nova Scotia. They had a son Emery born about 1921.

Thad was working as a house carpenter after 1920 and his wife and later his son worked in the sardine factory. By 1930 he owned his own home in Machiasport.

He died at age 82 and was buried in the Palmer Cemetery (note cemetery record shows died in December 1967). Wife Charlotte died 1983 and was also buried there.
