Gene Dennis, 67, of Canyon died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Kenny Price, minister of The Summit in Canyon, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens in Amarillo by Brooks Funeral Directors.
Gene Dennis was born June 8, 1940, in Tucumcari, N.M., to E. J. and Lorene Forsthoffer Dennis. Gene loved to fish, and he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his mother, Lorene Brocharo of Amarillo; a brother, E.J. Dennis of Amarillo; a sister, Jo Morrison of Amarillo; two sons, Bryan Dennis and wife Misty of Canyon and Brent Dennis and wife Heather of Canyon; other family, Trish Cooper and Dusty McDonald, both of Canyon; and three grandchildren, Montana, Hunter and Graycen.
The family suggests memorials be to Odyssey Healthcare, 6900 W. Interstate 40, Suite 150, Amarillo, TX 79106.
