Mary was the daughter of Manuel and Eufemia (Ruiz) Hernandez and sister of Manuel, Ben, Jesse, Arthur, Lupe, Helen, Criselda and Mayda.
She was living in Lubbock, Texas when she met and married John Aguirre in 1965. They lived there until 2018 when they moved to San Antonio to live closer to their daughter and 2 grandchildren.
She leaves behind her daughter Sophia and 2 grandchildren and her stepchildren, Gilbert and Dolores and surviving siblings.
