Laverne Jessie, was born June 19, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio, the fifth oldest of eight children of Gladys "Ms. Lucy" and Frank William Wyche Sr. Blessed with sixty-one years of life, Boobie was called from labor to eternal rest on Friday, December 30, 2022, in Columbus, Ohio.

We all know her as Boobie Wyche!. Like her mother, Boobie was a huge pillar in the Windsor Community, and her home was a safe place for all. It was not unusual to ride by and see the porch filled with people, and cats (LOL). Boobie welcomed, housed, and fed family, friends and strangers with very little questions asked.

Boobie was the silent voice of the "Wild Bunch", a clan she formed with three sisters and an auntie. They were enforcers and held folks to the high standards required to mingle with her family and her closest friends. Even when she raised her voice it was soft and calm, but powerful. Not sure we ever really heard her YELL!

She wore many hats throughout her life. We remember her as the ice cream truck lady, the Manager of Dove's Facility Maintenance, and the lady that hosted the best 4th of July firework shows in the parking lot of Windsor Elementary School. Boobie would tell you that her favorite hats to wear were the roles of Bee's Wife and Meek's Mom, the two hats she was proudest of!

In 2018, Boobie learned of God's plan and although it seemed cruel, she made the decision to accept it and to live her life best she knew how and the best she could. Boobie continued to be the safe place we came to know and love. Never complaining about her situation while keeping her doors open for whomever was in need (again that included those dang cats!).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys "Ms. Lucy" and Frank William Wyche Sr; brothers, James, and Curtis Wyche; aunts, Yvonne "Inky" Mathis, Kathleen "Kitty" Perry, and Margaret Ann Perry; and close family friend, Charles "Chuck" Love.

Boobie leaves to cherish her memories, husband Steven "Bee" Jessie; her one and only daughter, Tamiko "Meek" Wyche; grandchildren, Keiarra Jackson, Andre Rogers Jr, and Dreauna Rogers; great grandchildren, Zahveion Jones, Ziondre Rogers, and Khari Hammonds; brothers, Frank Wyche Jr, Jeffrey Wyche, Frank Wyche III, Earnest Wyche and Christopher Wyche; sisters, Annette "Buckles" Wyche, Diane Wyche, Linda "Pooh" Wyche, and Lisa "Marc" Hoston; aunts, Bonnie Bryant and Laverne (Boobie's namesake) Perry; God Daughter, Precious Devine; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.
