Geraldine "Geri" Elaine Miller, 75 of New Freedom, passed away on December 31, 2022. She was the loving wife of Marvin L. Miller; together they celebrated 56 years of marriage. They were married on July 3, 1966. Born November 14, 1947 in Glen Rock, she was the daughter of the late Randall and Mary (Ness) Bupp. Geraldine was employed by Verizon Communications, Inc. many years as a manager. She was a member of Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church. She was an avid Bingo player, making many memories with her friends. Over the years, she created a close connection with an Amish family, caring and traveling to and from Lancaster with their families; so much that she treated them as a part of her own family by sharing her kindness and generosity over the holidays. She was the ultimate caregiver, placing everyone's needs before her own and would do anything to give joy to her family. In addition to her husband Marvin, Geraldine leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Jeffrey M. Miller (Pamela), and Jason M. Miller; five grandchildren, Jordan, Kyle, A.J., Callie, and Aden; two great grandchildren, Emmalyn and Willow; four brothers and four sisters, Dennis (JoAnn), Stanley (Deb), Wayne (Cindy), Darlene (Fred), Linda, Brenda (Bob), Steven (Carolyn), Sharon (Randy), brothers & sisters-in-law, Monroe (Judean), Daniel (Mary), Frank (Deb), Jimmy, Bill (Katie), and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother: Larry (Charlene), two sisters: Beverly and Nancy (Todd), and brother-in-law: Clarence (Ione). There will be a public viewing on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00p.m. at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc.; 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA 17349. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church; 5890 Steltz Rd., Glen Rock, PA 17327 on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 11:00a.m. with viewing one hour prior. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Steltz Cemetery. Her family would like to give special thanks to the amazing doctors, nurses and staff with the dedicated care and support given to Geraldine while she was in the Wellspan ICU facility.
