Stephen F. "Skip," "Poppy" Yosh, age 84 years, of Pocasset, passed peacefully on Monday, January 2, 2023, at Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. He was the son of the late Stephen F. and Mary (Wright) Yosh. Stephen was born on March 22, 1938 in Larksville, PA, where he had fond memories and countless stories of growing up surrounded by a fun, loving, and very large extended family. He moved to Landing, New Jersey in 1963, where he lived until moving to Cape Cod, MA in 2006. He graduated from Larksville High School in 1956 and later received his bachelor's degree from Ramapo College.

A proud United States Air Force Veteran, he was known for his perpetual sense of humor, consistent punctuality, warm smile, kind heart, and soft chuckle. His greatest joy came from time spent with his beloved children and grandchildren. He especially loved attending his grandchildren's events; at all their games you could find Poppy on the 50-yard line or right at half court. Poppy was adored by countless neighbors and friends, many of whom considered him their own Poppy. He loved reading (especially history and murder mysteries), watching TV and movies, crossword puzzles, Notre Dame football, pasties, and Diet Coke (most importantly).
