James P. Yosh, 76, of Whiting, Manchester, passed away Monday, Sept. 29, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born and raised in Larksville, Pa., he lived in Dover before moving to Whiting in 1994. He worked for the Dover Post Office as a postal clerk for 30 years before retiring in 1994. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, Whiting. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Our Lady of the Pines Council 351, V.F.W. Post 8745, American Polish Club, and Respect Life Committee, all in Whiting. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eleanor; five sons and three daughters-in-law, James Jr. and Susan of Chesterfield, Va., Steven of Hackettstown, Christopher of East Stroudsburg, Pa., Joseph and Cheryl of East Stroudsburg, Pa., and William and Gail of Flanders; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jacqueline and James Danbrowney of Byram Township, Kimberly and Alfred Cianella of Stewartsville, and Carolyn and Robert Lake of Morris Township; three brothers, John of Kingston, Pa., Stephen of Mashpee, Mass., and William of Saugerties, N.Y.; two sisters, Mary Antall and Anna Lipski, both of Larksville, Pa.; and 14 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Carmona-Bolen Home For Funerals, 66 Lacey Road, Whiting. A Funeral Mass will be offered at noon Friday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R.C. Church, Whiting. Burial will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
