Jewett McKinney, 93, of Macon, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Reverend Chris Minton and Brother Earl Smith will officiate. The family will have a time of visitation on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. till service time in the funeral home.
Born in Macon, Georgia he was the son of the late B.W McKinney and Nettie Burnett McKinney.
He was a retired mechanic from Armstrong World Industry with 40 years of service.
Mr. McKinney was a member of the Wheeler Heights Baptist Church and a former member of Lizella Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was a member of the Farm Bureau Board of Directors for 37 years and a member of the Lizella Masonic Lodge # 663.
Mr. McKinney was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita Hester McKinney, Siblings, Sam McKinney, Lawton McKinney, Frank McKinney, Rose Foster, Frances McKinney, Edna Yaughn, and Lucille Wilder.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Shreve McKinney, children, Larry J. McKinney Sr., (Gail Parks), Margie Renee Carroll, Patricia Asbell(Charles) and Carolyn Amerson; Ten grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
