Glendeen Barnett, 94, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.

She was born February 16, 1928 in Leachville to the late James Edward and Luna Agness Higginbotham Honnoll. She and her husband, Claud Earl owned and operated Barnett's Auto Parts for many years. In younger years, they were active in the Monette American Legion, Lions Club and Monette Schools, she loved her community. She enjoyed helping with all of the VJ Day celebrations. She was a member of the Monette First Baptist Church. Gardening and working in her flowers were her favorite pastime. The Barnett's were faithful fans of Buffalo Island Central School basketball, they attended all the games. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Their seventy-six years of marriage was a testimony of what Love is.

She is survived by her husband, Claud Earl Barnett Sr.; children, Janette Cockrum Redman (Mel) of Hot Springs, C. E. Barnett Jr. of Tontitown and Nickki Golden (Todd) of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Dr. Holly Cockrum, Lance Cockrum and Hannah Golden-Quinn (Nolan); great-grandchildren, Brandon Nelson and Savannah Nelson.

She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Chase Barnett; a son-in-law, Dr. Hubert Cockrum; a daughter-in-law, Toni Barnett; two brothers and two sisters.

A celebration of her life will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Monette First Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Monette Memorial Cemetery.

The visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are C.E. Barnett, Barry LaFarlette, Keith Haddock, Lance Cockrum, David Clark and Terry Edwards.
