James L. Farr, 81, Green Bay, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. He was born on July 28, 1941, in Two Rivers to the late Russell and Ella (Duprey) Farr. He graduated from Marinette Catholic Central High School with the class of 1959. James served his country in the United States Navy from 1959 until his honorable discharge in 1962. On February 17, 1968, he married Joan Wesenick at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Milwaukee, WI. James owned Farr's Country Bar for several years. In his younger years, James drove race car at many local tracks. He was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed driving around in his recreational vehicle. He liked to listen to polka music on Sunday mornings. James loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joan; children, Susan (Kevin) Marcott, Lanette (Rob) Timler and Scott (Kathy) Farr; grandchildren, Desirae Marcott (Brenton McPeak), Kyle Marcott, Peyton Timler, Matthew Farr and Aaron Farr; great grandchild, Noel McPeak; sisters, Carol Behnke, Marion (Upton) Wiegert, Darlene (William) Moede, Julie (James) Kriel and Margaret (Helmer) Franzen; sisters-in-law, Irene Farr and Sally Farr; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald (Nancy) Farr, Darrell (Carol) Farr, Glynn Farr, Robert (Darlene) Carriveau, Kenneth (Kaye) Carriveau, Myron (Edith) Farr, Russell "Toby" Farr, William Farr and Randy Farr; sister, Bette (Charles) Butler; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jerome and MaryLou Wesenick.

Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Parish wake service 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Road, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Memorial Mass 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church with Rev. Dennis Ryan officiating. Military Honors will conclude the services. Burial will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Marinette. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established.
