Eva Vail, 69, of Hayden, ID died Wednesday, Mar 26, 1997 at her home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel with a reception following. Graveside services will be held Thursday Apr 3, 1997 at the Fairview Cemetery.
She was born Aug 22, 1927 in Star Valley to Marvin and Elva Nielson Vail. She grew up in Star Valley and attended and also taught at University of Wyoming.
She married Borman Smith and they later divorced. She was married to Walter Burnham Sr. and they moved to Hayden in 1959. They developed the Burhnam Addition in Hayden and later divorced.
She owned the Golden Years Shelter Care Homes but her life's work was speaking on the national circuit for present government returning to constitutional government. She was the secretary for the Committee to Restore the Constitution and co-founder of Concerned Citizens of Idaho and a speaker for Preparedness EXPO. She was a constitutionalist who was also interested in alternative education and natural healing.
Survivors include a son Walter Burnham II of Bonners Ferry, ID; daughters, Alycia McGavran of Lake Stevens, WA and Victoria Burnham Lederer of Kirkland, WA; brothers, Wayne Vail of Kentucky, Leon Vail and Dennis Vail of Utah; a sister Marva Spiers of Utah; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ornet and Donald Vail.
